I believe you are the magic at the heart of your business. Your story, your personality, how you do what you do, your actual face.. those are your competitive advantage. My job is to get that on camera in a way you’re excited to share (even if you think you’re not photogenic… ‘cos you are – that’s my job!).

I work with business owners who are doing genuinely brilliant work and deserve to be seen for it. They’ve decided its time to be visible and show up as themselves.

I’m not going to shove you in front of a backdrop and just tell you to smile. I’ll talk too much so you don’t have time to overthink it. I’ll notice the tree growing out of your head before I press the button. And I’ll probably make you do the shot you were convinced you’d never use that ends up everywhere.

I love empowering women to see themselves how the rest of the world sees them, growing their self confidence and helping them let go of self doubt they hold about their appearance.

I love being inspired by the people I photograph and they impact they have on the world around them and I take pride in helping them tell their stories.

I love creating photos that actually get used instead of collecting digital dust bunnies. Your photos need to celebrate your personality, match your messaging and be created with intention to do their job.

I am passionate about seeing you succeed.

Bottom line: I want to create images that just make you smile and that you can’t wait to share and I am your biggest cheerleader.

I’m very much a believer in imperfect is just perfect. An image that captures emotion, personality, details, relationships has much more going for it than the perfect forced smile shot, even when the lighting is crappy and the backdrop ain’t pretty. I want to respect, remember and celebrate moments. I love a big, bold – THIS IS MY REALITY and I’m owning it. And I want to be able to look back on it all – the good, the everyday and the not so good. 

So it’s not awkward when we first meet you should probably know:

  • I have a not so small daughter with a big personality, wild hair (and an extensive photo portfolio) who often comes along to photoshoots.
  • I am deeply, unashamedly addicted to Roller Derby (and was a This Girl Can VIC Ambassador for many years).
  • I love a good rant – especially regarding my avid aversion to gender stereotypes.
  • I’m kinda competitive and my husband is also a photographer…
